What Every Business Needs to Know Right Now About Mindset Blocks

How does mindset impact someone’s business?

It affects all of it. Because what’s in your subconscious really influences about 95% of your life and your experience. And you don’t always know what’s there other than seeing how your life is playing out. So, if you’re not focused on what’s going on at the moment, whenever you’re on autopilot, that’s your subconscious.

And stuff that’s in there, people are always surprised, you know, shocked and surprised when they find beliefs that are not supporting their goals. For example, anytime you think there are a limited number of clients or customers out there for you.

A big one I’ve found with people I work with is related to money because money is complicated. A lot of people, in their subconscious, think it’s not okay to have more money than you need. They think you can make money maybe, but you can’t keep it because you’ve gotten these messages when you were little that maybe there’s something wrong with having too much money. Maybe that makes you greedy. Or maybe you don’t want to be like those people that don’t act like your family wants you to act or money’s evil.

Do you have mindset blocks related to money? Have you taken the time to figure out why you have them and how to overcome them?

What kinds of problems do you help solve?

Not too many of my clients have had issues pivoting. But I think that they’ve had more time to reflect. So, they’re coming to me with things that they have thought about more and can’t find the solution to.

But the big ones are:

  • Your relationship with money
  • Knowing that you’ve got what you need to be successful
  • Knowing that there are plenty of people out there that are available to do business with – the scarcity mentality – there’s just not enough people who want what I’m doing

How does one recognize if they have a mindset problem?

If they see themselves never getting over a certain threshold. It’s repeating patterns that are a big clue. People often find they can get to a certain point and then never any further.

Or they’ll do really well , and then everything will need to go somewhere else – money-wise.

Another thing is just being aligned with your business – of having your subconscious believe in your purpose.

I do see this in people that I work with. This is extremely common. But is your subconscious aligned with your business?

There’s that hesitancy in how you show up. You know how it feels when you’re in the flow. People can tell that you’re in your comfort zone and you’re persuasive. You are starting conversations because you feel good about what you’re doing. If you’ve got a hesitancy, people pick up on that. Knowing that you and your business are on the same page is a really powerful place to be.

We’ve talked about imposter syndrome previously and what Judy is sharing is definitely in alignment with that. I see it in high achievers who are afraid of being found out.

Yes, a lot of people, for whatever reason, don’t think they’re good enough, smart enough, or whatever enough.

When you address these problems, what happens next?

The process I use is really a fast change process. Now, some things are very complex, but to change a little aspect of what’s going on, can usually be done in less than five minutes – such as a belief. A situation is usually comprised of more than one belief – and that’s more complex.

We work on an emotion or a frustration.

I worked with somebody the other night who’s tired of worrying about money – that emotion of just being weary, of this being the struggle. We identify their emotions, and then what are the beliefs that you want to be true in your life. And then we work through them. We transform the beliefs into peace, basically. And we rewrite the beliefs into the subconscious that you want to be true, such as, “It’s okay for me to have more money than I need.” It’s a big one.

I do it for an hour. And a lot of coaches send their clients to me because I don’t do behaviors. I don’t do accountability. I don’t do strategy. All I do is remove the blocks. And then they go back to be successful either with or without a coach. Things can change pretty quickly.

3 Action Steps

  1.  Recognize what mindset blocks you may have created that are preventing you from being successful.
  2. Make sure your subconscious is aligned with your purpose.
  3. Address your blocks so that you can move your business forward.
